Fringe Drifters Film & A Fistful of Pain
Hey Friends,
The movie/NFT project I’m super pumped about is from the creators of one of my favourite SF films of all time. Prospect was a sleeper hit that managed to get on Netflix during the pandemic (in Australia) and other platforms worldwide where people recognised its genius. Shot for a meagre 3.5 million it did extremely well, showcasing the superb talents of Pedro Pascal and rising star Sophie “Soapy T” Thatcher. I believe it was Pedro Pascal’s superb performance in this, not Narcos, that gave him the Mandalorian gig…
Check out the trailer for Prospect (89% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) - but don’t watch anything longer than the 2.30 minute one, the almost 4 minute youtube trailer shows too much!
So why they hell are they launching an NFT project?
This is why. Sure, they could have gone and become jobbers for Netflix, and have the streaming platform own everything. Just like they did with Prospect… or
They could launch an NFT project. Build a community. Build a movie. Raise finances and have the creators own it, with real investment from the community.
This is the future of web3. Don’t listen to the haters. NFTs… yeah a lot of them are rugs. A lot of them are scams.
And some of NFTs are just beautiful creative projects with incredible people building community, creating important culture and stories, and sharing brilliant art. Telling real stories with emotional depth and meaning, and having a blast doing it.
Check this out - it’s from the fringedrifters.com
You can pick one of these cool drifters on secondary or better yet, join the Discord and mint one in the next time they drop. Welcome to the future!
LOOK AT THAT COVER!!!
Quick update to let you know about this important project.
I just backed A Fistful of Pain by Ryan K Lindsay and Louie Joyce.
Is there any need to explain why this awesome comic needs to be supported? Great writing, fantastic art.
Please consider backing!

How good is this art? I love me some messy, dynamic, manga style art - super expressionistic with amazing use of screen tones.
Cheers,
